In 2014 I realised my life was making me miserable. I’d done everything ‘right’ – got a degree, got a good job, found a good man, got a car, house, wardrobe… but in the small hours of the night I found myself sobbing uncontrollably because something was missing – something I couldn’t figure out.
By starting a powerful daily journaling practice, I connected the dots and found the missing pieces. I confronted myself on the page and connected with my inner wisdom, remembered what really mattered to me, and found the courage to change my life. I slowly started to live a more intentional life by questioning everything – my job, my house, my relationships, my hobbies. I started to express my true self, live guided by a sense of purpose and stop merely surviving.
I want to share everything I’ve learned about how to live a brave intentional life. In ten steps, I’ll share the ways you can start to take back control of your life and redefine happiness for yourself.
In this book I’m going to teach you how to:
- Connect with your soul
- Know and celebrate your uniqueness
- Think for yourself
- Leave the ‘tribe’
- Connect with your deeper purpose and create a vision for your life
- Craft your own definition of enough
- Simplify your life and align with what matters
- Be careful with what you allow into your life
- Create more often and consume less
- Find your courage and trust the process
I’ll share my own stories, draw on the work and ideas of others leading intentional lives, and offer journaling and other creative exercises for reflection and contemplation, to help you take steps towards living your own brave intentional life.
